Arun Valley Treks


This region is blessed with an incredible diversity of natural beauty and culture. Arun valley trek is between two highest mountains, Everest and Makalu. It is really a non touristic area but we can see significant views of Mt.Everest, Makalu, and hundreds of other mountains just on your eye. Sherpa, Rai and Limbus are the main inhabitants of this region.Walking north up the Arun river to Sedua and Num, then crossing Barun La(4110m.)into the upper Barun khola valley for a close look at Makalu. You can put together an even wilder trek by crossing Sherpani col and west col into the upper Hongu valley. The highest point of this trek is Salpa Bhanjyang and also we can visit Hindu holy call Lake Salpa holy Lake(3414m.).

Itinerary

Days 01 : Kathmandu to Tumlingtar By plane and walk up to Kartike ghat then camp at Kartiki ghat.

Days 02 : Kartike – Gothey

Days 03 : Gothey – Phedi

Days 04 : Phedi – Gurase

Days 05 : Gurase – Sanam

Days 06 : Sanam – Bung

Days 07 : Bung – Gaikharka

Days 08 : Gaikharka – Vasme

Days 09 : Vasme – Pangum

Days 10 : Pagum – Painya

Days 11 : Painya – Lukla

Days 12 : Lukla to Kathmandu by fly.

After Lukla we can do Everest base camp trek too.

Meet with our represenative at the airport. Drive to hotel.

Days 02 : Kathmandu Height : 1300m
Half day sightseeing. O/N at hotel.

Days 03 : Kathmandu - Basantapur
Fly to Biratnagar and 6 hour drive to Basantapur. O/N camping at basantapur.

Days 04 : Basantapur - Chauki

Days 05 : Chauki - Gupa Pokhari

Days 06 : Gupa Pokhari - Gurgagoan

Days 07 : Gorgagoan - Dovan Height : 730m

Days 08 : Dovan- Mitlung Height : 921m

Days 09 : Mitlung - Chirwa Height : 170m

Days 10 : Chirwa - Sakathum Height : 1660m

Days 11 : Sakathum - Amjilosa Height : 2510m

Days 12 : Amjilassa - Kyapar Height : 2730m

Days 13 : Kyapar - Ghunsa Height : 3695m

Days 14 : Ghunsa - Khambachen Height : 4099m

Days 15 : Khambachen Height : 4099m

Days 16 : Khambachen - Lhonak Height : 4785m

Days 17 : Lonak - Pangpema Height : 5143M

Days 18 : Pangpema Hieght : 5243m

We select to cross either of the 2 passes today depending on the weather conditions: Lapsang La, the higher pass at 5180m or the Mirgin La at 4500m.

Days 21 : Lumba Samba - Ramche Height : 4580m

If looking for drive it is lon drive or fly from Suketar via Biratnagar Kathmandu.This trip can be shorter 18days also but it is only trip to South base camp.
